The worst of swine flu scare is still not over yet. The deadly disease which was earlier confined to primarily Mexico & US has slowly and gradually found its way in Asia, Africa, and other parts of the world as well. New Zealand reports more than 100 confirmed Swine Flu cases. Australia had about 250 cases confirmed cases; and the number has jumped to 1000. Scotland has added 43 confirmed cases to its list on just 1 day, taking toll to almost 500.

Owing to such a spread of disease, it has now been classified as a "Pandemic" by WHO. WHO has even raised the alert from 5 to 6 (on a scale of 10) for the disease. The disease has once seemed to simmer down around May last week, June first week.... but the numbers have caught up again. The reason may be the lack of focus and attention from people.

Swine Flu has been first disease declared pandemic by WHO in 41 years. The last pandemic was Hong Kong flu in 1968 which took close to a million lives.

The average age of the people attacked by this disease of swine flu is 20 years, plus/minus a few. More than half the people who died from swine flu are the ones who were previously young & healthy; and not susceptible to any kind of flu.
