BMI: Body Mass Index
BMI is the popular measurement used in identifying obesity level. In simple terms it is the weight of a person in relation to his height. The mathematical calculation of BMI is done by multipling weight of a person in pounds and then dividing that value by the square of his height in inches. Doctors have created a benchmark to identify the obesity level. If BMI is greater than 25, the person is treated as overweight. But, if the BMI goes beyond 30...the person is treated as obese.
