Vegetarians have 45% less chance of developing leukemia and in general 12% less than contracting cancer. Cancer and leukemia in particular, occur more rarely in vegetarians. A British study published in the British Journal of Cancer reveals how those who do not eat meat had 12% less chance of getting sick from cancer. The researchers conducted a long and meticulous study on cancer and possible correlations with a diet without meat. The study included a mixed gender of men as well as women observed over 12 years.
