Vegetarians imune towards Cancer and Leukemia

Healthy Vegetarian FoodVegetarians have 45% less chance of developing leukemia and in general 12% less than contracting cancer. Cancer and leukemia in particular, occur more rarely in vegetarians. A British study published in the British Journal of Cancer reveals how those who do not eat meat had 12% less chance of getting sick from cancer. Even with regard to the risk for leukemia - vegetarians seems to be almost equal to half the rest of the population: 45% off.

The researchers conducted a long and meticulous study on cancer and possible correlations with a diet without meat. The study included a mixed gender of men as well as women observed over 12 years. "Previous research had indicated that the meat may increase the risk of cancer, so our results have appeared plausible from this point of view. But we do not know why blood cancer has a lower % in vegetarians," said London newspaper the Guardian Dr Naomi Allen, a researcher of the Cancer Research Oxford University and co-author of the study.

Allan has also added the following: "the outcome of reports are significant, although it should be taken with a little caution because this is the first comprehensive study of its kind in this area. We need to make few more studies in the domain and to learn more. For example, we discover as an aspect of a diet based on vegetables, fruits and fish protects against cancer. And we must establish the positive effect a vegetarian diet, as well as adversely affect a meat."

More sleep is good for the heart of women

Female Sleep RequirementsEight hours a night is the amount of sleep needed in women to prevent cardiovascular disease. Men, however, stand better in the effects of more limited night's sleep. It has appeared in a scientific journal, Sleep, that deduction is the result of a search conducted dall'University College London and University of Warwich.

The research, conducted on 4600 people aged between 35 and 55 years, of which 75% were men, has shown that the marker or indicator of inflammation linked to cardiovascular disease, were lower in women who slept eight hours compared to those who had rested for seven. Details were monitored levels of a molecule, interleukin 6, in fact, a marker of inflammation in the body.

Previously with other studies had shown the effects of a quantity of sleep than the average who slept less than five hours a night were more at risk of being struck by a cardiovascular disease. Now, this research explains how women are more exposed and that their markers will vary depending on the hours actually spent in sleep.

Michelle Miller in charge of the study and research, said: "There is no doubt that the quality and duration of sleep, play a key role in heart health, especially for women."

All About Female Condoms

Know all about female condomsThe female condom is a soft and resistant transparent polyurethane sheath that is inserted into the vagina before sexual intercourse, protecting both from pregnancy and from sexually transmitted diseases. It forms a barrier between the penis and vagina, the cervix and external genitalia.

Female condom is effective in protecting and STDs and HIV as the male condom. It adapts to the contours of the vagina and, therefore, does not compress or greenhouse penis. As the polyurethane warms instantly on contact with the body, it provides greater sensitivity and feel more natural.

It is more resistant as compared to latex, odorless, does not cause allergic reactions and, unlike latex, can be used with oil-based lubricants that with water-based. Can be inserted before the sexual intercourse without having male partners presence, does not depend on male erection and does not require the immediate withdrawal of the penis after ejaculation. When used correctly and consistently, the female condom is as effective as other contraceptive methods and no known side effects or risks.

The female condom is available in Europe since 1992 and is now present in dozens of countries around the world. In 1993 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the female condom for marketing and distribution. The female condom provides dual protection against pregnancy and STDs, which, based on laboratory studies, should include HIV / AIDS.
