What Exactly A Patch Is? |
| |
Ortho Evra Patch is an estrogen/progestin mixture. It works by stopping the discharge of eggs from the ovaries and in that way stopping pregnancy. Moreover it's as effective as a pill like seasonale and keeps you going no matter where you are.
Ortho Evra is a non-pill styled modern age woman contraceptive patch. When using this patch, you no longer have to worry about the pills cycle daily; nor you have any tensions / problems of missed pills. Its skin color ensures that patch normally goes un-noticed.
So say bye-bye to the pills and use a patch now. |
| |
How Do I use Ortho Evra Patch ? |
| |
- One patch is generally applied to the skin; and wear for 1 week and then change it.
- Unwrap the pouch and take out the patch from the protective liner as shown on right. Apply to any of the parts, as shown in pictures below. Push the patch tightly against the skin for 10 seconds to be confident that the patch settles on. If the patch lift, press down to reapply. Put only 1 patch at one time.
- Contact with water will not have an effect on the patch. But do avoid using creams, gels and makeup's in that area.
- If it’s a time to change the patch, take out it without hurry, fold in half, and throw it away out of the contact of children. Never flush patches.
- If the patch has happened to loose or has fall off for less than 1 day, make an effort to reapply it or use a fresh patch right away.
No additional contraceptive procedures are needed when using Ortho Evra Patches as described above. |
